What this site is

This website provides contact information and general information about the surgical practice of Jose L. Diego, MD. By using it you agree to these terms.

This is not medical advice

Nothing on this site is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Reading it does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Nothing here should be used as a substitute for talking to a physician about your own situation.

A doctor–patient relationship is established only through an in-person evaluation and the practice’s own intake process — never through this website, a text message, or a call to the automated assistant.

Calling the office

If nobody answers within about five rings, an automated assistant answers instead. It will tell you it is automated. It takes your name and a callback number so the office can reach you.

The assistant cannot give medical advice, cannot answer questions about your condition, and cannot schedule, confirm, or change anything. It takes a message. A person calls you back.

Leaving a message is not a substitute for care. If your situation may be urgent, call 911 or go to an emergency room rather than waiting for a return call.

Texting the office

The text button opens your own messaging app. Standard text messaging is not encrypted and is not a secure way to send medical information.

Please send only your name and a good time to reach you. Do not send symptoms, test results, images, or anything else about your medical condition. Texts are not monitored continuously and are not an appropriate way to report an urgent problem.

For referring physicians

Clinical records should be sent by fax to (209) 497-6303. Receipt of a referral does not by itself establish that the patient has been accepted, scheduled, or evaluated. The office confirms receipt and contacts the patient directly.

Accuracy

We try to keep this site accurate and current, but we make no guarantee that it is. Hours, affiliations, and contact details can change. Call the office to confirm anything you intend to rely on.

Other websites

Links to other sites, such as mapping services, are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

Limitation of liability

This site is provided as-is. To the fullest extent permitted by California law, the practice is not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this website or its contact features. This does not limit any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing in these terms limits the practice’s professional obligations to its patients.

Privacy

See our Privacy Policy. In short: this website collects nothing. Medical information held by the practice is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is a separate document available from the office.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Stanislaus County, California.

Changes

If these terms change, the effective date above will change with them.
